I'm excited to share with you this eBook that contains words of wisdom, and lessons, from fellow educators on improving learning with mobile technology. The book touts us as "Education Experts." Expert Shmexpert! Are we really "experts?" Nah... we just have big mouths, lots of experience (and opinions), and we aren't afraid look stupid.
The biggest thing we have in common is that we all strongly believe in the power of sharing.
That's why when I was approached to give my 2-cents for this eBook, I was happy to oblige. I hope you find motivation and inspiration from these stories. Included are Twitter IDs and blog URLs, so you can reach out to us, if you are so inspired.
It is an honor for me to share this space with the likes of these powerhouse educators:

The most interesting aspect for me is that all of the essays fit into a common theme -- technology drives student-centered learning. Not only is this theme interesting, it appears that we are on the cusp of a tipping point between instructor-centered learning and student-centered learning. I hope you will enjoy the introduction that I wrote that pulls the main ideas from almost every contribution into a student-centered vs. instructor-centered learning comparison.

Hello, my name is Jordan Neely and I am a student in EDM310 at the University of South Alabama. I really enjoyed this post. The chart that was in the eBook where it told scenarios and told the outcomes in an instructor-based classroom and a student-based classroom was very interesting.
Hey! My name is Andrew Sorich and I am currently getting my masters in secondary education at the University of Michigan and I too found this post to be very insightful. Classrooms and learning needs to be returned to the students so that they feel more responsible for their own learning. Additionally, I too believe that technology should be embraced in the classroom to the greatest extent possible.
The eBook in your post made many good points about student centered learning and the use of technology. As a future teacher, I hope to embrace technology in my classroom and get the most out of it in order to better educate my students. Technology gives students almost all they need to educate themselves. Hopefully there will still be some need for us educators in the future!
